Apple Invites is a new event planning app available both on iPhone and web. It integrates with Apple Maps and Weather to provide directions, while offering participants the chance to collaborate on creating a shared Apple Music playlist to build the soundtrack for an event together.
Establishing an event is straightforward. Users begin by providing the date and time, before selecting from templates or uploading photos as background materials.
It’s free
Apple has launched a new app called Apple Invites that makes creating and sending personalized event invitations easier than ever, using features from iCloud such as Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Photos and Weather to assist with event planning. Plus it comes equipped with Artificial Intelligence including Image Playground for creating images for invites and Writing Tools to assist with text drafting! Plus it works across Apple devices (running iOS 18+) even those without an Apple Account!
Invites is available as a free download, but users must subscribe to iCloud starting at $0.99 per month in order to access its services. Unlike some apps that exist solely within Apple's ecosystem, Invites keeps non-Apple users up-to-date about events they RSVP'd to - something which could come in particularly handy for hosting Super Bowl parties this weekend or inviting others to their book club meetings.
It’s easy to use
Apple's Invites app provides an effective way to spread event information with friends. You can integrate photos from your library or events-themed backgrounds, create AI-generated images using Image Playground and even embed an Apple Music playlist for collaborative playback. Plus, invites allows for the easy addition/subtraction of attendees as needed and updates of event details at any time!
Once you have selected your guests, the app creates an exclusive link which you can send via Messages or Mail, copy and use in whatever other way is appropriate for you. With its convenient share-by-choice functionality, only select contacts are shown the link or everyone can be invited.
Once recipients receive your invitation, they can easily tap an Attending, Not Attending or Maybe button and you'll be informed accordingly - making it simple for you to manage attendance and avoid embarrassing situations such as showing up to an event with no attendees present.
It’s secure
Apple recently unveiled an iOS app called Apple Invites that allows users to go beyond simple calendar invites. The app integrates with Maps and Weather data for more comprehensive invitations; additionally it can create shared Apple Music playlists so guests can use them during events. Apple Invites is now available to iCloud+ subscribers and works across iOS devices.
Apple says their event planning service will streamline the event planning process by enabling hosts to add essential details such as location via Maps, dates for adding to a calendar and personalized background images from their library or artificial intelligence generated by Apple Image Playground. Guests can respond through a link that can be seen from any device.
Apple Invites differs from similar apps by sending individual links for each person invited - this means each must log in with their iCloud ID in order to reply, which may not be convenient in busy situations.
It’s fun
Apple Invites, their new event invitation app, aims to add more fun to the process of digital event invitation. Integrating with other Apple apps and services, it provides users with an effortless invitation experience. Along with customizable designs, features such as integrations with Maps and Weather allow guests to get directions and weather forecasts for event days; AI generates unique images; writing tools suggest text suggestions based on context; plus there's AI image generation!
Apple Invites is free for everyone who receives an invite, including non-Apple users who RSVP through links or messages. However, to create events in Apple Invites requires an iCloud+ subscription plan from an organizer.
Making an event can be an arduous and complex task, requiring you to decide between sharing contacts or not, which may seem unnecessary for hosting only one event.
